Parents of Filipino students in St. Mary’s had organized the consultations after fears that their children would be losing touch with their Filipino heritage. The consultations involving Filipino parents and children focused on Filipino cultural heritage, including food, songs, and dances. Espiritu said that the book’s launching, attended by St. Mary’s multi-cultural community representing several countries, was a success Countries represented during the event include Andalucia , Australia , Brazil , China , Columbia , Ethiopia , Mexico , Namibia , New Zealand , Philippines , Poland , Portugal , South Africa , Spain , and the UK . The Centre for Filipinos, a London-based organization helping Filipino nationals in the UK and working towards social inclusion and development of the Filipino community and other ethnic groups, was brought in to help conceptualize a project for Filipino students at St. Mary's School. – GMANews.TV
