Recovered CCTV footage from the arena showed that the vehicle used by the victims were seen exiting the coliseum but it was not clear if the victims were inside the vehicle.

In another CCTV footage from a grocery in Laguna, the vehicle was also seen going to Manila.

The Philippine National Police - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group launched an investigation into the missing friends.

Meanwhile, in Manila arena, another six men were also reported missing after joining a cockpit tournament. They were on board a Toyota Tamaraw FX on January 13, 2022.
