By SHERYLIN UNTALAN, GMA Integrated News
The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will experience a series of power interruptions as part of a month-long upgrade to its facilities.
In an advisory shared on social media, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said the scheduled power interruptions will occur from February 6 to March 7, 2024, as part of the ongoing upgrade of the electrical systems at NAIA Terminals 1 and 2, the International Cargo Terminal, the MIAA Admin Building, and the airfield.
"Minimal disruptions will occur in some areas, but Management assures the riding public that critical systems used for passenger processing will remain operational," MIAA said.MIAA assured the scheduled works would have no significant impact on flight operations.
"A prior meeting with MIAA's service provider and Meralco led to a unified strategy to ensure uninterrupted flight and passenger movement during the subject period," the agency said.—RF, GMA Integrated News
