Two female sales executives who were reportedly molested and blackmailed by the same suspect asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for help.

In a "24 Oras" report by Emil Sumangil on Wednesday, victims “Janice” and “Karla” (not their real names) are both full-time sales executives of high-end condominiums. Both have filed a complaint against the suspect with the Quezon City Police Department and eventually, the NBI.

The suspect introduced himself as a buyer of a three-bedroom unit. Janice said that she noticed that the buyer was flirty at first before making indecent proposals.

When the suspect asked to meet with Janice, he brought his son in the vehicle and invited Janice in.

“Iniisip ko, wala siyang gagawin sa akin, kasi kasama niya anak niya,” Janice said. (I thought he would not do anything to me because he was with his child.)

However, once the child fell asleep, Janice said that the suspect started to touch her legs, saying that he would pay her. Janice said she was not interested, especially since there was a child in the car.

“Hindi po ako sumisigaw, kasi ayokong matakot yung bata sa likod…baka makita niya, baka pag nagwala ako magalit yung lalaki, baka biglang banggain yung sasakyan. Hindi ako maka-react,” Janice said. (I did not shout, because I do not want the child at the back to get scared… he might see; if I make a fuss, he might crash the car. I could not react.)

Janice did not tell anyone about the incident at first. While she thought the nightmare was done, she received text messages from the suspect, demanding that she give him money.

He said that his wife saw the footage from the car. If Janice did not send him money, the suspect’s wife would post the video on social media and send it to the victim’s workplace.

The victim ended up sending P50,000 to the suspect, who disappeared afterwards.

Janice eventually resigned from work.

Meanwhile, sales executive Karla also had an encounter with the suspect. The suspect told Karla that he was getting married and he was having a bachelor party. He also attempted to solicit her.

Karla was able to tell her boss about the suspect, but she was still traumatized.

“Kami kasi nagwo-work kami, tapos parang lagi kaming nababastos… Ang ibang tao, iniisip sa work namin, binebenta namin ang sarili namin para makabenta, which is parang hurtful, dumarami kasi sila na ganun… ang dami na pong bastos talaga,” Karla said.

(We are working, and we are always being harassed… Some people think that in our work, we sell ourselves to be able to sell, which is hurtful, because there are more people like that… So many people are creeps.)

The NBI has already identified the suspect, with Janice positively identifying him. Both complainants also submitted additional evidence. —Jean Mangaluz/LDF, GMA News
