Marikina readies for 'Bourne Legacy' filming

Officials in Marikina City have started preparations for the filming of the upcoming spy thriller "The Bourne Legacy" there this February.

 

The bulk of the preparations are focused on the city's public market where several scenes of the upcoming film are to be shot, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported.

 

Lou Navarro of the city's public information office said police have instructions to secure the cast and staff of the crew during filming there.

 

Navarro said they are also coordinating with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on traffic arrangements.

 

The report said the filming at the market is tentatively scheduled from Feb. 1 to 4, with chase scenes and stunts expected there.

 

Other arrangements are being made to ensure the filming goes smoothly, the report added.

 

Earlier this week, the cast and crew of the film held shooting scenes in parts of Manila.

 

Film shooting began on January 11 on Leveriza Street from Quirino Avenue to San Andres in Manila. 

 

Aside from Manila and Marikina, the following areas have also been identified as shooting locations: 

"The Bourne Legacy" which stars Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz, is the fourth installment of the spy action thriller franchise. –KG, GMA News
