50 houses razed in Caloocan fire

At least 80 families lost their homes after a fire of undetermined origin razed 50 houses in Caloocan City Monday night.

 

The fire spread quickly among the houses at the GSIS Village in Barangay 164 in Caloocan City, radio dzBB reported early Tuesday.

 

Caloocan City fire marshal Superintendent Jeremy Diaz said they are still determining what caused the fire.

 

"So far ang investigator natin nagko-conduct ng investigation (para) ma-determine ang posibleng dahilan ng apoy," he said.

 

But an initial investigation showed the fire spread quickly as the houses were made of light materials.

 

No one was initially reported injured in the fire. –KG, GMA News
