Navotas classes to finally resume Monday

After being suspended the whole week last week due to heavy rain, classes in Navotas City will finally resume on Monday, August 6.

 

The Navotas city government announced the resumption of classes in an entry on its Twitter account Sunday evening.

 

"MAY PASOK NA bukas, Agosto 6, sa LAHAT NG ANTAS ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Navotas - Mayor John Rey Tiangco," said the tweet. 

 

Last week, Navotas was forced to suspend classes due to heavy rain and floods brought by the monsoon and enhanced by tropical cyclone "Gener."

 

The city government declared a state of calamity after finding most barangays were flooded. 

 

"Halos lahat na barangay binaha sa ating lungsod, dahil na rin sa storm surge at high tide at habagat at ulan," Tiangco said in a radio interview last week. — DVM, GMA News
