Fire hits Makati residential area, motorists advised to take alternate routes

(Update 10:45 a.m.) - A fire of undetermined origin razed a residential structure in Makati City Wednesday morning.

 

The fire had reached the second alarm shortly after 10 a.m., according to a report by radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen.

 

No one was initially reported injured in the fire along Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue in Makati.

 

Firefighters rushed to the area to battle the blaze, even as arson investigators determine what caused it. 

 

The Makati City government tweeted the fire had reached the third alarm as of 10:18 a.m.

 

It said the fire was at the corner of Gil Puyat and Tramo in Pasay City area but crossed over to Marconi Street in Brgy. San Isidro in Makati City.

 

"Please take alternate routes," it advised on its Twitter account. –KG, GMA News
