Honest NAIA janitor feted at flag ceremony

A janitor at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) who returned a bag full of valuables was feted for his honesty during the airport's flag ceremony on Monday.

 

Ronald Gadayan, 28, received a commendation from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported.

 

MIAA general manager Jose Angel Honrado lauded Gadayan for turning over to proper authorities a bag left behind by a Cebu-bound passenger. The bag had more than P600,000 in cash and valuables.

 

Gadayan had alerted ground staff of Philippine Airlines, who turned over the bag to airport authorities. - VVP, GMA News
