No to 'My Way' in videoke bars if NCRPO head could have his way
This is one hit list that could cause headaches for the Metro Manila police.
If he could have his way, Metro Manila police head Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina would have three videoke songs blacklisted from establishments in his area of responsibility.
Espina said the three songs have triggered arguments and even rumbles in karaoke and videoke bars, radio dzBB's Tuesday Niu reported on Tuesday.
The report quoted Espina as saying two of the three songs are foreign hits: "My Way" popularized by Frank Sinatra; and "Green Green Grass of Home" popularized by Tom Jones.
A third is the homegrown hit "My Love Will See You Through" by Marco Sison.
Espina said their records showed that while these three songs had been favorites in videoke bars, they could start trouble because some of the singers would try to outdo each other.
In the process, he said disagreements and arguments would sometimes lead to fights, some of which could result in injuries and even death. –KG, GMA News
