Actor Baron Geisler released from police detention after settling row with neighbors

Actor Baron Geisler was released from a police detention cell on Saturday morning after spending Friday night behind bars because of an altercation with his neighbors in Quezon City.

Geisler reached a settlement with the couple following Friday night's incident, radio dzBB's Glen Juego said on the social media site Twitter.

On Friday night, Geisler was arrested after a tense confrontation with his neighbors in Fairview.
Radio dzBB earlier quoted police investigators as saying Geisler went to a sari-sari store owned by Raymundo dela Rosa and his wife and bought bread but threw it.

He then allegedly took a chair near the area and threw it at the couple, injuring them. This prompted the couple to call for help. Geisler reportedly faced possible charges of physical injuries and malicious mischief but reached a settlement agreement with the couple.
While Geisler was in a discussion with the couple, Quezon City Station 5 Supt. Virgilio Fabian told GMA News Online in a phone interview that Geisler's inquest was supposed to be conducted on Saturday.

"Nandoon sa presinto ngayon 'yung complainant. Nakikipag-areglo sila ngayon," Fabian said.

Geisler has been no stranger to controversies involving alcoholism and questionable behavior.

In 2010, actress Yasmien Kurdi also filed charges against the actor for acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation. Kurdi later on withdrew the case.
