10-foot long python caught in QC barangay hall
A ten-foot long python believed to have come from a nearby creek was captured inside a barangay hall in Quezon City's Roxas district Friday night.
Village executive officer Romulo Lopez captured the python after almost stepping on it when he entered the hall, radio dzRH reported Saturday.
Lopez was quoted in the report as saying the python was the biggest they had captured so far this year. He added it was the 12th to get into the barangay hall for this year.
The report also quoted village officials as saying the python had difficulty moving.
They theorized the python could have come from the nearby creek behind the St. Luke's Medical Center.
Village officials said they will turn over the python to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' Wildlife Bureau. — ELR, GMA News
