Aside from getting its biggest haul—at least P200 million—following an anti-drug operation before dawn Monday, Quezon City police have discovered that drug dealers now have a new modus operandi. The Quezon City police said the gang is also throwing in the vehicle used to transport the drugs to the buyer as part of the deal, according to a report on "24 Oras." This would eliminate the need for the drugs to be transferred from one vehicle to another, the report said. According to the Philippine National Police, arrested in Monday's operation were Mark Sy Hue, 39; Honorato Lo Pontigon, 39; Crisologo Puzon, 40; and James Rosales, 26. Quezon City Police District head Senior Superintendent Richard Albano said they had been keeping the four arrested suspects under surveillance for two months. The four were arrested in front of a high-end coffee shop on the corner of Banawe and Makaturing Streets in Brgy. Manresa, Quezon City. Police had set up a sting operation to buy 1.5 kilos of shabu from the suspects. Following Monday's arrest, a follow-up operation led to the seizure of at least 39 more kilos of shabu in the car used by the suspects. A separate report by dzBB's Allan Gatus said police estimated the street value of the drugs seized from the operation at about P200 million. — BM, GMA News
