2 hurt in 3-vehicle smashup at Cubao

At least two people were injured in a three-vehicle smashup at the tunnel along the EDSA Cubao Farmers area in Quezon City before midnight Sunday. One of those injured was the driver of a taxi, radio dzBB reparted early Sunday. The report said the accident occurred at the northbound part of the tunnel at EDSA Cubao, snarling traffic in the area. For its part, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the multiple collision involved the taxi, a sport utility vehicle and a passenger car. In a post on its Twitter account, the MMDA said the accident occurred at about 11:48 p.m. At least two lanes of EDSA northbound were occupied, the MMDA added.
