Bus catches fire on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City
A passenger bus caught fire along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Thurdsay night, setting two nearby establishments on fire.
According to Super Radyo dzBB reporter Divine Reyes, witnesses saw a Fermina Express bus stop near Gate 1 of Commonwealth Village as a fire started in the engine.
Passengers quickly got off the bus, which then slid backward and hit a store selling chemical storage drums and a factory that makes calendars, the report aired on dzBB said.

No one was reported injured as passengers managed to get out before the fire broke out.
Fermina Express is owned by the same family that owns Don Mariano Transit Corp., the bus firm that had its franchise revoked over an accident that killed 21 people in December. — JDS, GMA News
