Deniece claims Cedric's elevator kisses were innocent

Deniece Cornejo has claimed that the kisses given her by Cedric Lee in an elevator, as seen in footage from a security camera, were nothing more than an innocent gesture.

According to a Saturday report on GMA 7's “24-Oras” news program, Cornejo said she was just thanking Lee and his friends who helped her after she was allegedly raped by actor-comedian Vhong Navarro.



In the video, two men and a woman entered followed by Cornejo and Lee. Once in the elevator, the latter immediately kissed Cornejo on both cheeks.

The CCTV footage was part of the newest evidence presented by Navarro's camp to the Department of Justice.

The incident caught in the video is said to have occurred after the mauling of Navarro on the night of January 22.

Meanwhile, Cornejo's camp will file a motion for reconsideration for their petition for a temporary restraining order and gag order against Navarro.

Their earlier requests were dismissed by the Taguig City Regional Trial Court due to lack of basis.

The two camps were supposed to confront each other for the first time on Friday, during the DOJ's preliminary probe. But Cornejo and Lee did not show up. — Andrei Medina/DVM, GMA News
