MMDA: Part of Kamuning Road in QC to undergo reblocking this weekend

A portion of Kamuning Road in Quezon City will undergo reblocking operations this weekend, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said Wednesday.
Kamuning Road is one of the several key roads that leads to and from EDSA. It also connects to another major Quezon City thoroughfare, Tomas Morato Avenue.
The MMDA said the Department of Public Works and Highways scheduled the repair from 10 p.m. of Friday, May 2, to 5 a.m. of Monday, May 5.
It said the area of Kamuning Road to be covered by the repair work includes the second lane between Scout Ybardolaza and Tomas Morato.
Possible alternate roads are Timog Avenue and E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue which run parallel to Kamuning Road.
Motorists have complained the reblocking and repair work would slow traffic, but the DPWH and MMDA maintained such repairs would make roads smoother and improve traffic flow in the long run. — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
