Bus catches fire at Skyway in southern Metro Manila

Traffic on a portion of the Skyway area in southern Metro Manila was disrupted early Sunday after a bus passing through the area caught fire.

No one was initially reported injured in the fire that hit the St. Jude bus, radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported.

A tweet by Skyway management indicated the incident occurred at the northbound part of Villamor Exit.

It added the fire briefly rendered all lanes at the portion of the road inaccessible.

A photo posted by dzBB's dela Cruz on Twitter showed the bus plies the route between Albay and Pasay City.

The bus bore the plate number EVG-209.
