Makati City's police force has joined the investigation into the hazing death of De La Salle University-College of St. Benilde student Guillo Servando, GMA New's Hadji Rieta reported.

On Tuesday, a suspect who turned himself in told Manila police investigators that the hazing was done in Palanan, Makati City. The suspect is a member of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity. Manila Police District spokesman Chief Inspector Erwin Margarejo had said that if the suspect's statement was substantiated, the fraternity member would be turned over to the Makati police. Servando died from the injuries sustained during a supposed fraternity initiation last weekend. Three of his fellow fraternity neophytes were also injured in the hazing. Meanwhile, investigators are trying to identify two men, seen on closed-circuit television system, who were at the condominium where Servando was found. Also, a report on GMA News' "Saksi" said that emergency number Patrol 117 received a call regarding the hazing past 10 p.m. Saturday. The caller claimed Servando had come from a drinking spree. The call was made more than an hour after Servando and the three other neophytes were brought to a condominium in Manila following the supposed hazing. — Joel Locsin/DVM, GMA News
