The southbound part of Magallanes Interchange will be open to all types of vehicles starting 8 p.m. Tuesday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

Initially, the MMDA had said the interchange would be open to all types of vehicles on Wednesday.

"Magallanes Interchange southbound will be open to all types of vehicles tonight, August 19, 2014 starting 8 p.m.," it said in an advisory on its Twitter account.

On Monday, the southbound part of the interchange was opened but only for light vehicles.

The part of the flyover, which was closed Aug. 8 to 17 for repairs, had been reopened at 5:40 a.m. Monday, radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported.

Earlier this month, the DPWH closed part of the Magallanes Interchange for repairs.

The DPWH particularly advised motorists going to South Luzon Expressway and Alabang areas to take the Osmeña Highway-Magallanes Service Road. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
