Vendor killed, 13 hurt in Manila fire-truck crash

A street vendor was killed and 13 others were injured, seven of them children, after a fire truck crashed into a row of stall at the corner of Angel Linao and Pedro Gil Streets in Manila's Paco district Saturday afternoon.

According to a report from radio dzBB's Roland Bola, the brakes of the Southern Manila Volunteer Fire Brigade fire truck allegedly failed.



The injured were rushed to the Philippine General Hospital for treatment.
