Dalia Pastor denies affair with main suspect in husband Enzo’s killing
Dalia Pastor, widow of slain race car driver Enzo Pastor, has denied accusations that she was having an affair with Domingo de Guzman III, the alleged mastermind in the June 12 killing of her husband.
In a sworn statement submitted to the National Bureau of Investigation, Dalia said De Guzman is a “friend” who had offered her husband a partnership deal to put up an automotive shop.
“Numerous people have been making the same offer because of the industry that we are in," she said.
Dalia said De Guzman was a guest in their former home in San Antonio Village in Makati during her birthday in September 2012. She also said “it is possible” that De Guzman also visited them in their new residence in Magallanes, Makati.
She, however, said she cannot remember the last time De Guzman visited them in their Magallanes residence.
On the question about his alleged affair with De Guzman, Dalia said: “As I stated earlier, he is our friend.”
Dalia said on the night of her husband's killing, he was accompanied by their mechanic "Paolo," who was wounded in the shooting that occurred on Visayas Avenue in Quezon City.
She said Enzo always takes the C5 route because he cannot travel on EDSA without a truck permit.
Dalia also said it was the second time her husband took a race car from Batangas to Clark, Pampanga. Before that, he took “six or seven” race cars from Clark to Batangas.
De Guzman is charged with murder and fruatrated murder, while Dalia is facing parricide and frustrated murder complaints. —Mark Merueñas/KBK, GMA News
