UP Diliman declares half-day classes Oct. 31
Classes at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City will only be half-day on Friday, Oct. 31, in anticipation of heavy traffic during the Undas (All Saints' and All Souls' Days) weekend.
UP Diliman chancellor Michael Tan said classes and offices at the Diliman campus will be suspended starting noon of Friday.
"In view of the coming Undas, classes and Offices at UPD will be suspended On Friday, October 31 starting at 12 noon," he said, according to a post on the UP Diliman Twitter account.
On Tuesday, the UP Manila campus similarly said it would suspend afternoon classes on Oct. 31.
Filipinos are expected to flock to the provinces this weekend so they can pay their respects to their departed loved ones. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
