Commuters using the Metro Rail Transit were inconvenienced Monday morning after the MRT went on half-line operations.
Light Rail Transit Authority spokesman Hernando Cabrera said the MRT-3 plied routes only between North Avenue and Shaw starting 8:03 a.m.
He said there was a "technical problem" at the southbound part between Ayala and Magallanes stations in Makati City.
Earlier, the LRTA said the Light and Metro Rail Transit systems will have normal operations on Monday.
Cabrera said this on his Twitter account after Malacañang announced that work in Metro Manila was suspended for Monday.
"May operations po ang LRT at MRT ngayong araw, 08 December 2014," Cabrera said.
