2 more fatalities in QC fire

The death toll from a fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City Thursday morning rose to three as of Thursday evening.

 

City fire marshal Superintendent Jesus Fernandez confirmed the additional deaths after mopping-up operations, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported. 

 

The New Year fire at Barangay Apolonio Samson that killed two men and a woman razed around 200 houses.

 

Arson investigators are looking into reports that a wayward kwitis (baby rocket) started the fire. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
