Escaped QCPD detainee falls after snatching, 2 others surrender

A detainee who escaped from the Quezon City Police District Station 7 last Wednesday was recaptured early Friday morning in Quezon City after he was caught snatching a necklace.
 
The inmate, 30-year-old Dennis Natividad, had gone to his family in Quezon City after his escape, radio dzBB reported.
 
The report also alleged that Natividad had admitted to snatching the P10,000-worth necklace near a footbridge at the EDSA-Paramount because he needed money.
 
He also claimed that he had planned to surrender to after the New Year holidays.
 
Meanwhile, two more escaped inmates surrendered; escapee Roberto Valdez at 1:30 a.m. Friday, the other surrendered Thursday night.
 
Five of the 16 inmates have thus been recaptured, with four other having surrendered. 
 
The 16 inmates escaped from the QCPD Station 7 detention cell between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Wednesday by sawing through the ceiling.
 
The escaped inmates were in jail for charges ranging from rape, to robbery and snatching. — Joel Locsin/DVM/KG, GMA News
