Now that Pope Francis has left the Philippines, road closures covering the route from the Apostolic Nunciature to Villamor Air Base were lifted before 10 a.m. Monday.

Radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported the roads in southern Metro Manila covered by the road closures had been reopened.

GMA's I M Ready cited information from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority that the roads were reopened 9:55 a.m.

In Manila, the Light Rail Transit's Quirino Avenue Station resumed normal operations. The station is near the Apostolic Nunciature, where the pope stayed during his five-day visit.

The Pope arrived at Villamor Air Base at about 9:30 a.m. following a motorcade from the Nunciature. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
