Quezon City, Makati fires put out

Fires broke out in residential areas in both Makati and Quezon City Monday night, GMA 7 news program “Saksi” reported.



In Quezon City, the fire in Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches broke out past 7 p.m.

The fire reached the 4th alarm before being put out past 9 p.m.

Some 50 houses were razed in the fire, with 45 families affected. Property damage was estimated at P750,000.

The Bureau of Fire Protection believed the fire stemmed from a neglected stove.

The Makati City residential fire, meanwhile, started past 7 p.m. on Iran Street, Barangay Pinagkaisahan.
