QCPD arrests 2 suspected guns for hire

Two suspected members of a gun-for-hire gang were arrested in Quezon City shortly after carrying out a hit job on Wednesday, the Quezon City Police District said Thursday.

QCPD head Chief Superintendent Joel Pagdilao identified the two as Mark de Vera, 24, of Dasmariñas in Cavite; and Salvador Furious, 27, of Binangonan, Rizal.

The QCPD said police arrested the two near the corner of K-J and Kamias Streets, after they shot a man identified as Michael Marcelo.

Recovered from the two suspects were a cal-.45 pistol, a 9-mm pistol, two mobile phones and other belongings.

Both suspects face charges of murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

A separate report on dzBB radio Thursday afternoon said the two suspects admitted they were ordered by one Romy to shoot Marcelo in exchange for P50,000. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
