Relatives in Pangasinan of one of the victims in Valenzuela fire seek thorough probe
While mourning the death of their loved one in last Wednesday's Valenzuela fire, relatives in Pangasinan on Friday called for a thorough investigation into the incident that left over 70 people dead.
The family of Rebecca Sola can now remember her only through photos, GMA Dagupan's Joanne Ponsoy reported Friday.
"Gabi ng Miyerkules nang malaman namin ang insidente," her brother Edwin Ramos told GMA News in an exclusive interview.
For now, Sola's family is seeking a thorough investigation into the incident, Pansoy said.
"Basta gastos lang ng kumpanya lahat na gastos para sa kanyang burol," the report quoted Edwin as saying.
"Hnidi pa namin matanggap. Mahirap mawalan ng kapatid," Edwin added.
Sola, 39, was a resident of Barangay Mermer in Manaoag town. She was among the more than 70 who died in Wednesday's factory fire.
The family also said Sola had been working at the factory since she was 20. She lived in Valenzuela City with her husband and three children.
Sola last visited her family in Pangasinan last February.
Upon learning of her death, her parents prepared to head for Metro Manila for her wake in Valenzuela City. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
