Heavy rains flood parts of Metro Manila
(Updated 5:54 p.m.) Parts of Metro Manila were hit by floods following a thunderstorm on Saturday afternoon.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported waist-deep flooding on R. Papa Street as of 5:15 p.m.
It also reported that as of 4:34 p.m., C3 and A. Bonifacio Avenue, north and southbound lanes, are not passable to light vehicles due to knee-deep flood.

The MMDA also reported flooding on parts of EDSA.

— Official MMDA (@MMDA) September 12, 2015 In an advisory issued at 3:40 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said thunderstorm was affecting parts of Metro Manila, including Parañaque, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa cities.
It added that other areas in Metro Manila may also experience thunderstorm until past 4 p.m.
Thunderstorm also struck in parts of Cavite, Batangas and Laguna.
All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods. Keep monitoring for updates," PAGASA said in its advisory. —ALG, GMA News
