Bridge repairs shut down four lanes on EDSA-Muñoz

Motorists experienced heavy traffic at the southbound side of EDSA near Muñoz in Quezon City because of repairs conducted by the Department of Public Works and Highways on the Dario bridge. 

 

A report from GMA's “24 Oras” on Saturday said the DPWH was repairing cracks on the bridge. 

 

However, the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group said the road repairs had no prior clearance.

 

This made three of four lanes along EDSA impassable to vehicles, resulting in the traffic jam.

 

Authorities have already opened zipper lanes on the northbound side to alleviate traffic there.
