Power outages expected in some areas of Quezon City and Makati late Wednesday

A wide area of Quezon City and a section of Makati City are in for power interruptions late Wednesday evening, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said in tweets.

 

In Quezon City, the affected areas from 11:47 p.m. onwards are: Barangays Bagumbuhay, Tagumpay, Dioquino-Zobel, Escopa II, Escopa III, Marilag, Milagrosa/Project 4, Katipunan, St. Ignatius, White Plains, Blue Ridge A in Q. C.-Katipunan; Bayanihan, Q. C.-Murphy; Loyola Heights, Q. C.-Balara; San Roque, Q. C.-Murphy; Socorro, Q. C.-Cubao & Villa Ma. Clara, Q. C.-Murphy.

 

Meralco did not give any reason for the unscheduled outage in Quezon City.

 

In Makati, the portion of Ayala Ave. from Paseo De Roxas St. to and including Makati Sky Plaza in Legaspi Village, Makati City will have the power outage from 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

 

Meralco said the Makati outage will be due to "line re-conductoring works along Dela Rosa St. in Legaspi Village, Brgy. San Lorenzo."   — ELR, GMA News
