Call center agent dies after being hit by closed van in Pasig

A call center agent died after being hit by a closed van while crossing a street in Pasig City, before dawn Wednesday.

 

Police have yet to release the name of the call center agent, who instantly died after being hit by a closed van driven by a fish dealer identified as Danilo Gabitano.

 

Gabitano told police investigators that he was not speeding and that he even tried to avoid the victim.

 

"Tumawid po nang bigla. Hindi tumingin sa dinaaranan niya. Kinabig ko nang pakanan para hindi siya masagi pero dirediretso pa rin siya," Gabinato said.

 

The closed van came from Malabon City and was supposed to deliver fish at a public market in Pasig City.
