A former cop who was even given an award after arresting a suspected criminal, was himself nabbed recently by his former colleagues after he allegedly robbed at least three houses in a subdivision in Cainta, Rizal, GMA's "24 Oras" reported on Friday.
The suspect was identified as Fernando Nakpil who had the rank of Police Officer 3 during his time in service.
The report said the s most recent robbery by Nakpil's group was allegedly on September 29.
Sabi ko walang Jerome dito pero nakatitig ako sa mukha niya,” one of the victims said.
The suspects then allegedly forced their way inside the house and pointed their guns at the residents.
On September 11, Nakpil and his group allegedly also rounded up their victims who were all girls and tied them up while robbing the house.
On August 11 they allegedly threatened a househelp with a gun and entered the house.
“Pinakiusapan na lang ni ate na kunin niyo na lahat wag niyo lang kaming sasaktan,” the househelp said.
Nakpil asked for mercy from the victims.
He is facing robbery and serious illegal detention charges. Authorities are still looking for the other members of his group. —Andrei Medina/NB, GMA News
