3 zebras, 6 red kangaroos arrive from US for Baluarte Zoo in Ilocos Sur

Three zebras and six red kangaroos arrived in Manila early Monday morning from Dallas, Texas, a report on Unang Balita by Isay Reyes said.

The animals will be the latest attractions of Baluarte Zoo in Ilocos Sur.

The nine-month-old kangaroos were seen drinking milk upon their arrival.

The zebras, on the other hand, were fed hay.

The animals are already tame since they are captive-bred and captive-born, the report said.

They have been screened for any health issues before they left the US.

However, they will still have a one-month quarantine period to test for diseases, Dean Abad, manager of Baluarte Zoo, said. —KG, GMA News
