3 nabbed in drug raid on Adriatico Street in Manila
Three suspected drug peddlers were arrested in a raid at suspected drug dens along the famous Adriatico Street in Manila City, early Wednesday.
Police identified the suspects as Jimmy Cumpa, Gina Topic and Rowena Collado.
Policemen entered the suspected drug dens along Adriatico Street at past 1 a.m.
An undertermined amount of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized during the operation.
Ten women, who were at the same area of the suspected drug den during the raid, were taken by the police into custody for verification.
Police said that the several suspected drug users, including taxi drivers and foreigners, were seen frequenting the drug den during surveillance operations.
Virgilia Elisan, chairwoman of Barangay 704 Zone 77, told GMA News that the Manila Police District was able to stop the illegal drug activity on Adriatico Street in 2014 after the arrest of several drug personalities.
She said the illegal drug activity was revived by new group. —ALG, GMA News
