The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has announced a lower fare for the point-to-point (P2P) bus service route from Ortigas to Makati City.

The LTFRB said on its Twitter account that from P55, the standard fare for the P2P Ortigas-Makati route will be lower at P50.

The lower fare took effect Monday, February 29.

The board also announced that the P2P service will be operated by HM Transport, also starting Monday.

It said that from Ortigas, the loading area will be at the Robinson's Galleria at the south corner of EDSA Shrine and the unloading areas will be at Rustan's and Robinson's summit Tower along Ayala Avenue

From Makati, the loading area was designated at the Park Square in front of Dusit Hotel.

The LTFRB also shared in its Twitter post the schedule of the Ortigas-Makati route.

The government started the P2P packages last December to provide commuters a shorter travel time and help in resolving the traffic problem in Metro Manila by encouraging car owners to commute.

The board has four P2P packages:

  • Fairview to Makati and Ortigas to Makati
  • Katipunan to Makati and Eastwood to Makati
  • Alabang to Ortigas and Alabang to Makati
  • North EDSA to Makati and North EDSA to Ortigas
