2 killed in separate shooting incidents in Quezon City

A suspected drug pusher was killed in a shootout in Bagong Pag-asa in Quezon City early Tuesday morning, GMA News' Jay Sabale reported on "Unang Balita."

Police Senior Insp. Vergilio Carodan said the supect as Ali Muhamed also known as Basher tried to escape. Authorities found his remains near a creek.

The police said Basher has been arrested several times in the past for cases related to the illegal drugs trade and firing a gun. Recovered from the suspect was a caliber-45 pistol and two packs of suspected shabu.

In a separate incident, a suspect was killed by a motorcycle-riding gunman along Commonwealth Avenue near the Litex Extension market on Monday evening.

Residents said they hear five gun shots before the remains of the victim was discovered. Also, found near the remains was a note, "Wag ako pamarisan holdaper at pusher ako."
