Catenary trouble in Baclaran station affects LRT 1 operations

The Department of Transportation on Wednesday morning advised LRT Line 1 passengers to take other means of transportation due to a catenary trouble at the Baclaran station.

"Early morning deployment of trains from LRT1 depot to Baclaran station slows down due to broken catenary," the DOTr said.

DOTr spokesperson Cherie Mercado said that as of 8 a.m., 22 trains were running from Baclaran to Roosevelt stations.

It said the complete deployment of trains is expected at 9 a.m.

"Engineering team on site (at Baclaran station) to determine cause and repair the damage," the DOTr said.

"LRT 1 passengers are advised to consider other options to avoid delays on their trips this morning," it added. —ALG, GMA News
