At least 5 hurt as pumping station platform collapses in Manila
At least five people were injured when a platform of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's Balete Flood Control Pumping Station in Ermita, Manila collapsed Saturday morning.
A report on "News TV Live" said one of the workers got stuck beneath the debris while the four others were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, a Super Radyo dzBB's Twitter post said the victims were doing a clean up operation on Romualdez Bridge in Ermita when the incident occurred.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the platform collapse.
As of this posting, the trapped victim was pulled from the rubble.
