Unidentified armed men shot to death three people in Pasay City on Thursday evening, a television report said Friday.

Citing authorities, GMA News' Vonne Aquino identified the victims as Jackie Flores, Diosdado Kim Escamillas, and Christian Reyes.

An initial police investigation showed that the three were on a motorcycle from the Pasay City Police station, heading home, when motorcycle-riding armed men launched the attack at the corner of FB Harrison St. and Arnaiz Avenue.

Investigators said Reyes picked up Flores and Escamillas after they were released from detention hours following their arrest at a gambling den for supposed drug links.

"Nagulat nalang kami nang ibinalita ng taga-MMDA na patay na raw ang kapatid ko," Flores' sister said.

"Walang kasalanan ang asawa ko ... ikinulong nalang po nila," Flores' wife also told GMA News.

Traffic enforcers claimed they heard successive gunfire and when they checked the scene, they saw bodies sprawled on the road.

"Yung isang nakahiga, biglang gumalaw at sinabing, 'masakit, masakit, mamamatay na ako.'  Kaya agad akong tumawag ng rescue," said Ambrosio Payumo, a Pasay City traffic enforcer.

Traffic enforcers rushed Reyes to a nearby hospital but he succumbed to his wounds moments later.

A relative said that Flores and Escamillas were arrested together with four others. The two were released later while the rest were still detained when Reyes fetched the two Thursday evening.

Flores' sister said, "Sinabi po nila na nag-pot session po yung kapatid ko. Pero hindi naman po siya involved sa droga. Noon user siya pero noong kabataan pa niya."

She said they suspect "ninja cops" (scalawags who recycle seized drugs) killed his brother. "Oo, ninja cops," she told Aquino when asked who she thought were the killers.

The Pasay City Police Office has yet to issue a statement on the incident. Also, the families of Reyes and Escamillas have given their statements yet as of posting time. —LBG, GMA News
