Suspected marijuana seller nabbed in BGC in Taguig
Police arrested an alleged marijuana seller in a buy-bust operation in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City on Thursday night, GMA News’ Vonne Aquino said in an Unang Balita report on Friday.
Through a text message from an informant, the Taguig City police identified the suspect as Argeline Ingaram.
A police poseur-buyer met with Ingaram at the parking lot of a bar in BGC around 11 p.m. on Thursday.
“Meron silang transaksyon ng text then magmi-meet up tsaka na lang ipapasa ang items,” said Chief Insp. Jerry Amindalan, head of the Taguig City police.
Upon purchase of the illegal substance, police immediately arrested Ingaram.
Found on Ingaram was P500-worth of marijuana. However, the suspect did not bring the P8,000-worth of ecstasy the police poseur-buyer ordered.
“Hindi nga lang niya nai-provide kasi mukhang nagiging… ‘yung mga ectasy medyo hirap na silang magdala. Siguro inisip ng target natin na ‘yung marijuana madaling ipasok,” Amindalan said.
Ingaram admitted to handing the marijuana to the poseur-buyer but denied that she sells the illegal substance.
She said a friend only asked her to deliver it.
“Napag-utusan lang po [ni] Mommy Joyce,” Ingaram said. “Hindi ko po alam na mapupunta sa ganito.”
Ingaram is facing charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —Erwin Colcol/KG, GMA News
