Firemen put out fire from burning high-end car; owner cries theft
A fireman who helped put out the blaze from the hood of a Mercedes Benz on Wednesday morning got the shock of his day when the car owner accused him of taking a bag from the burning vehicle.
GMA News' Bernadette Reyes reported on "24 Oras" that car owner Dennis Sioson accused Fire Officer 1 Carlo Feleciba of stealing his bag while dousing the flames of the vehicle past 10 a.m.
Feleciba couldn't help but feel bad about the accusation.
"Nakakasama lang ng loob. Bigla siyang nag-react ng hindi naman naaayon sa dapat niyang ikilos," Feleciba said.
SFO4 Anthony Basas of the Quezon City Fire Station 2 said the firemen needed to open the car's doors to let the air in and cool down its interior.
"May ventilation muna, binubukasan namin yung mga pintuan, kaso lang napagbintangan kami," Basas said.
Sioson later apologized to Feleciba for the accusation, which the fire officer accepted. —Joseph Tristan Roxas/NB, GMA News
