Ash Wednesday traffic at Commonwealth Ave.
Ash Wednesday marks the start of the Lenten season, but the traffic at Commonwealth Ave. on Wednesday may as well be calvary for motorists heading home.
Photos showed the bumper to bumper traffic at the main thoroughfare on Wednesday evening.
According to the Metro Manila Development Authority, traffic from Commonwealth Tandang Sora to St. Peter Parish was due to the celebration of Ash Wednesday.

Three lanes were affected by the traffic.
Netizens, meanwhile, expressed their dismay with the occupation of lanes by those hearing mass at the church.
