Woman nabbed for taking illegal drugs in front of her children
A woman was arrested in Caloocan City while on the act of taking illegal drugs with several others in front of her children.
A report by GMA News' Victoria Tulad on "24 Oras" said the suspect, who was not identified to protect her children, was caught taking drugs with her relatives.
"Habang gumagamit sila, nandoon 'yung mga bata so ang epekto n'on sa bata, medyo di natin alam," said Senior Inspector Leo Tomas, chief of the Northern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit.
The other suspects were identified as Irish Enguio, Rowena Chu, a certain Melvin, and Gilbert Tandog alias Nick.
"Inabutan nga namin 'tong si alyas Mik Mik (Nick) na may kaabutan tapos nagtakbuhan, umakyat sa may hagdanan so ang ginawa ng tropa, hinabol.. pagbukas ng pintuan nadatnan namin 'yung dalawang babae saka isang lalaki na kasalukuyang nagpo-pot session," Tomas said.
According to Enguio, Nick was the source of their illegal drugs.
Nick admitted that he has been taking illegal drugs for a long time, but he added that he has sold illegal drugs for just two months.
"Sa Tondo po, kinuha ko po.. para ano lang po, ma[wala] 'yung problema, m'am," Nick replied when asked where did he get the drugs.
Meanwhile, the suspects will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. The woman's children, on the other hand, have already been brought to their father, the report said. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
