The two Mandaluyong police officers who were caught on video assaulting curfew violators have been given until Wednesday to report to the police regional office of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), according to a Balitanghali report on Tuesday.

Last week, PO1 Jose Julius Tandog was filmed repeatedly striking victims Glen Villanueva and Marvin Calda with a wooden a length of yantok, before threatening to shoot them.

In the video, Tandog and PO1 Chito Enriques were seen holding their guns threatening the unarmed subjects.

Philippine National Police chief Dir. Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa had earlier said he wanted the cops deployed to Marawi City, where government forces are battling ISIS-inspired Maute Group members.

Data from the NCRPO show there were more than 1,500 cops who got deployed to other places for re-training due to various complaints since President Rodrigo Duterte took office last year.
