Taxi catches fire along QC's Commonwealth Avenue

A taxi went up in flames on Commonwealth Avenue Saturday night, GMA News TV program "Balitanghali" reported.

The cab caught fire at 11 p.m., near the corner of Central Avenue.

Authorities presume the driver survived the incident because no body was found in the burnt remains of the vehicle but have yet to identify him because his personal identification papers were destroyed in the fire.

A witness, together with a security guard, saw the vehicle burst into flames, but did not see anyone fleeing from the scene. — Margaret Claire Layug/DVM/KVD, GMA News
