Authorities were greeted by toxic fumes from the alleged shabu when they arrived at the unit.
Drug paraphernalia were also seen in the unit.
"Pwede sabihin na big-time pusher ito dahil malalaki 'yung weighing scale niya. In fact, 'yung mga self-sealing plastic would indicate na kilo-kilo ang dini-dispose niya," said Archie Grande, regional director of PDEA-Calabarzon.
Authorities also confiscated documents, bank checkbooks, and lists they found.
On Friday, authorities arrested the person renting the unit, Joan Cuachon, in a buy-bust operation.
"Medyo sabog pa siya nu'ng hinuli namin sa buy-bust operation. In fact, positive pa siya sa drug test. She's right now in our custody after inquest," Grande said.
PDEA said the condo unit is being made a one-stop shop by drug users.
"Since this is at the heart of a commercialized area, malamang may mga parokyano 'to na taga-rito lang din. Medyo may kaya na personalities. Meron tayong nakuhang drug paraphernalia. Malamang dito din sila gumagamit," Grande said.
Barangay Bel-Air, Makati chairwoman Constancia Lichauco said they have no control over who occupies condominium units. She added they do not know what is happening in the said units so they are shocked when arrests such as Cuachon's are made.
"I would like to congratulate them for catching one of the big drug dealers kasi 'di tama 'yun eh, lalo na malapit sa community," Lichauco said.
Authorities are investigating if the suspect has an accomplice and who her source is for the illegal drugs. —KG, GMA News
