PDEA, cops conduct Oplan Greyhound at Quezon City Jail
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Quezon City Police District conducted a surprise inspection dubbed as "Oplan Greyhound" at the Quezon City Jail on Monday morning.
According to a report on radio dzBB by Allan Gatus, the operation was launched to intercept all contraband within the jail premises.
Authorities specifically targeted the two dormitories of Sputnik Gang members wherein at least 801 inmates reside.

They also inspected the dormitory of Batang City Jail.

Quezon City Jail warden Superintendent Emerlito Moral said he received information that contraband were brought inside the jail premises.
"Meron po kasi. Ako po ay nagbiyahe ng apat na inmate na galing dito na pinaghihinalaan namin na sila ang mga nasa likod ng mga kontrabadong nakakapasok dito," Moral said. —Marlly Rome Bondoc/KG, GMA News
